KPRO Paving Slurry Primer 20KG
Porcelain paving must always be installed using a paving slurry primer to ensure it bonds to the bedding layer. In addition, priming slurry can also be used for natural stone and concrete slab patio installations. This product helps to prolong the lifetime of your patio or paved garden area. Slurry Primer is not just for porcelain. We also strongly recommend using it to prime natural stone paving flags, just prior to laying, as it will significantly reduce the potential for โpicture frameโ stains and patches from the cement & minerals in the base mortar being drawn up through to the face of the stone.
Product Application
Kilsaran KPRO Paving Slurry Primer is a polymer modified cementitious slurry, designed to give exceptional bond between bases, all types of paving units and their bedding material. The product is formulated for use in conjunction with Kilsaran HSBC to provide an adhesion strength of greater than 2 N/mmยฒ, as per the requirements of BS 7533.
Suitable for use in temperatures between +5ยฐC and +30ยฐC. Ensure the supporting base is stable, sound and free from any dust, dirt or grease. Once clean, the base should be pre-soaked and have all ponded water removed prior to application of the priming slurry. Kilsaran Priming Slurry should be mixed with 5.0-5.4 litres of clean potable water per 20kg bag of material for 3-4 minutes to reach the desired consistency, suitable for priming. Once mixed apply a 1mm-2mm coat of priming slurry to the pre-soaked base. Following installation of the bedding material, such as Kilsaran HSBC, all paving units should be pre-soaked and then have their bedding face coated with a 1mm-2mm coat of the priming slurry and then placed into position.

Samples
The paving samples are an offcut of the selected product and are aimed at giving an idea of the colours and textures.
Typical sample size is 75mm x 75mm or 100mm x 100mm – sizes can vary.
Damages and Replacements
- We ask that all customer add on an additional 10% (15% for Rainbow Sandstone) of paving to the amount they require when ordering to account for any breakages which could happen in transit or to use as off cuts.
- We will only replace damages over 10% of the full order. (15% for Rainbow Sandstone)
- Customers should check the full order upon delivery and inform us of any damages with photographs within 24 hours.
- Replacements will only be sent as per our Terms and Conditions upon receipt of proof of damages.
- Natural stone products have colour variations, iron flecks, textures, rivens, markings and tones throughout the paving. Natural markings such as sawn markings, hairline fractures/veins and unique flecks within the paving is natural and must be accepted. These do not defer the quality of the stone and does not make the paving unusable.
