Orders over (1 Full Pack) but less than (2 Full Packs)

This calculator function will automatically select 1 ‘full pack’ as the minimum requirement and offers an additional ‘split pack’ to make up the coverage area – we don’t provide single slabs.

It is recommended to order full packs instead of split packs due to transport breakages. Full packs are supplied in a crate whilst split packs are supplied lose which will likely incur more damages during transport – we highly recommended ordering an additional 10% of paving to cover any breakages when ordering split packs (orders below a full pack).

FAQ'S (Limestone)

What is Limestone Paving?

Limestone paving is a type of natural stone paving made from limestone; a sedimentary rock formed primarily from calcium carbonate. It is known for its durability, elegant appearance, and variety of colours and textures, making it a popular choice for outdoor paving, patios, and pathways.

What are the benefits of Limestone Paving?

Aesthetic Appeal:
Limestone comes in a wide range of colours, including beige, cream, grey, and yellow, offering a classic, natural look.

Durability:
Limestone is a strong and durable material, capable of withstanding heavy foot traffic and varying weather conditions.

Natural Texture:
It has a smooth or slightly textured surface that provides good grip, making it ideal for outdoor paved areas.

How do you maintain Limestone Paving?

Cleaning:
Regular cleaning with a mild detergent and water is typically sufficient to keep limestone paving looking good. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the surface.

Sealing:
It’s recommended to seal limestone to protect it from stains, moisture, and wear. Sealing also helps preserve its colour and natural beauty.

Repairs:
If cracks or chips appear, repair them promptly to prevent further damage.

How does Limestone Paving compare to other Natural Stones like Sandstone or Granite?

Limestone:
Softer and more porous than granite, but still durable and aesthetically versatile.

Sandstone:
Similar to limestone, but often has more textured and varied colour options. Sandstone can be more slip-resistant than limestone in some cases.

Granite:
Much harder and less porous than limestone, making it more resistant to stains and weathering but also more expensive.

What to expect with Black Limestone

Black Limestone is a rich dense charcoal stone.  This is an attractive stone ideal for giving a contemporary yet modern look to any garden.

Black Limestone has a naturally flat surface with the occasional riven texture giving a unique look when laid.  Overtime the intense colour of the slabs will reduce when exposed to elements, fading to a lighter grey.  However, once sealed with our recommended Back to Black Limestone Sealer this will take the paving back to the dark charcoal colour.

As this is a natural stone, it is very common to get imperfections within the stone and occasional riven textures to the surface.  White marks are also perfectly normal with this particular paving.  Due to the colour of the stone the white marks are more predominant however when cleaned and sealed these white marks are easily removed.

Whilst this stone is calibrated we do advise there can be a tolerance on the thickness.
